چکیده

The improper Gaussian signaling (IGS) technique can improve the achievable rate of an interference-limited network by fully exploiting second-order statistics complex signaling. This paper addresses outage performance analysis a two-user downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system using IGS in presence imperfect successive interference cancellation (SIC). strong channel user (SU) adopts IGS, while weak (WU) traditional proper (PGS). Considering practical scenario where transmitter has obtained coefficients instead instantaneous state information (CSI), expressions rates both users under residual due to SIC are derived, together with their probabilities, subject predetermined target and statistics. Given fixed transmit power WU, degree impropriety SU optimized minimize probability constraint WU. Numerical results provided assess benefits proposed IGS-based NOMA system, which consistent analysis.

Power control for successive interference cancellation with imperfect cancellation

This paper proposes and analyzes an iterative power control scheme for use with successive interference cancellation (SIC) in the presence of cancellation errors. In [1], SIC is shown to increase the capacity of cellular CDMA systems significantly, even if the signal cancellation is imperfect due to estimation errors. However, an important complication of SIC relative to conventional CDMA recei...

Improper Signaling on the Two-user SISO Interference Channel

On a single-input-single-out (SISO) interference channel (IC), conventional non-cooperative strategies encourage players selfishly maximizing their transmit data rates, neglecting the deficit of performance caused by and to other players. In the case of proper complex Gaussian noise, the maximum entropy theorem shows that the best-response strategy is to transmit with proper signals (symmetric ...

Reduction of Multiple User Interference for Optical CDMA Systems Using Successive Interference Cancellation Scheme

Multiple User Interference (MUI) considers the primary problem in Optical Code-Division Multiple Access (OCDMA), which resulting from the overlapping among the users. In this article we aim to mitigate this problem by studying an interference cancellation scheme called successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme. This scheme will be tested on two different detection schemes, spectral ampl...

Non-orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) with Successive Interference Cancellation for Future Radio Access

This paper presents our investigation of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) as a novel and promising power-domain user multiplexing scheme for future radio access. Based on information theory, we can expect that NOMA with a successive interference canceller (SIC) applied to the receiver side will offer a better tradeoff between system efficiency and user fairness than orthogonal multiple acc...

Analysis of Cancellation Error for Successive Interference Cancellation with Imperfect Channel Estimation Project Report EE-381K: Multiuser Wireless Communications

—Successive interference cancellation (SIC) is a technique, which can increase the capacity of a DS-CDMA system. Increase in capacity has been shown to approach theoretical limits for an AWGN channel [1]. For a practical channel from the viewpoint of cellular systems, significant increase in capacity using SIC has been shown in [2] even in the presence of estimation errors up to 50%. This capac...
